Providing Therapy Services

I had the opportunity of working with students with Developmental Delay during their free center time and recess. During these times, I utilized objects and actions in the child’s environment to target their therapy goals. One student’s favorite activity is jumping on the trampoline. One of the student’s goals was to imitate and/or produce one-two word phrases. When jumping on the trampoline, I was able to model “jump” and “jump high.” In later observation, the child produced the utterances spontaneously when jumping on the trampoline.
