Supporting Collaboration
Many of the students in my county work with the Autism Specialist. Establishing a connection with the Autism Specialist aided in a student’s success in the classroom. By collaborating with one another, we were able to implement supports in the classroom (i.e, trampoline, sensory bins, rocking chairs) and support through his Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). Once these interventions were put into place, the student began to make progress.
